We have really been enjoying the junior ed programme in year 5. We have had workshops on wildlife crime, hate crime and the dangers of energy drinks.
We have been working with a gymnastics coach every Friday. We have seen a big improvement in our gymnastic skills such as balancing and travelling.
Mrs Sanderson helped us with some ancient Mayan style weaving. It was quite tricky but we persevered and we eventually got the hang of it. Don't they look great?
We loved learning the angle song. What a great way to remember maths facts. We hope it has got stuck in your head!
We had a bit of a disaster in our topic lesson last week. We tried to make traditional Mayan tortillas however as you can see they didn't turn out too well! We did have a discussion about how difficult it must've been to cook in Mayan times.
In Energy club, Mrs Daglish wanted us to create a balance using limited points and patches! We did a great job! Mrs Daglish then challenged us to set up a team activity to earn a teamwork sticker! We then did some relay races using our own method of movement, which our teammates had to copy until it was their turn,...some really interesting movements!
